When I was creating this collection, I kept coming back to the image of the shield.

Across Africa, shields were carried by people who protected their communities, their families, their identities, and their freedom. They stood for resilience, courage, and the determination to keep going no matter the challenge.

The shape of each bag in this collection is inspired by those ancestral shields.

For me, this collection is a tribute to the generations who came before us. The people whose strength, sacrifices, and perseverance helped shape the lives we live today. It is a way of honoring their legacy and carrying a small piece of that story forward.

But this collection is not only about the past.

I believe that every person carries their own shield.

Sometimes that shield is courage. Sometimes it is faith, family, culture, hope, or self-belief. Sometimes it is simply the strength to keep moving forward when life becomes difficult.

The bags in this collection are designed to be a reminder of that.
